Duplicate Title Instructions

Getting a duplicate title when the vehicle was last titled in Georgia
 
The registered owner of the vehicle must follow these steps:
 
    1. Download and fill out the Georgia Duplicate Title Application. 

        2. You can do one of the following options:

 

• Bring the application to the Motor Vehicle Division.

 
                        Time frame to get the title: Same Day
                        Cost to obtain: $19
 

 

 

• Mail the application to the Motor Vehicle Division.

 
                        Motor Vehicle Division
            1200 Tradeport Blvd.
                         Hapeville, Georgia

                        Time frame to get the title: 7-10 Business Days
                        Cost to obtain: $9

Getting a duplicate title when the vehicle was last titled outside of Georgia

The registered owner of the vehicle must apply for a duplicate title through the state in which the vehicle was last titled in.
