Duplicate Title Instructions

Getting a duplicate title when the vehicle was last titled in Maryland
 
The registered owner of the vehicle must follow these steps:
 
        1. Download and fill out the Maryland Duplicate Title Application.  You can also fill it out online. 

        2. You can do one of the following options:

 

• Bring the application to the Motor Vehicle Administration.

 
                        Time frame to get the title: 5-7 Business Days
                        Cost to obtain: $20 
 

 

 

• Mail the application to the Motor Vehicle Administration.

Getting a duplicate title when the vehicle was last titled outside of Maryland

The registered owner of the vehicle must apply for a duplicate title through the state in which the vehicle was last titled in.
