Duplicate Title Instructions

Getting a duplicate title when the vehicle was last titled in Nebraska

    The registered owner must follow these steps:
   
        1. Download and fill out the Nebraska Duplicate Title Application.

        2. You can do one of the following options:
   
 

• Bring the application to the Division of Motor Vehicles.

                   Time Frame to get the title: Same Day
                   Cost: $14
 
 

• Mail the application to the Division of Motor Vehicles.

                    Time Frame to get the title: 14 Days
                    Cost: $14

Getting a duplicate title when the vehicle was last titled outside of Nebraska    
The registered owner must apply for duplicate title through the state it was last titled in.
