Duplicate Title Instructions

Getting a duplicate title when the vehicle was last titled in New Hampshire

    Obtaining a duplicate title for a vehicle 15 years of age or newer

   
    The registered owner of the vehicle must follow these steps:
 
            1. Download and fill out the Application for New Hampshire Duplicate Certificate of Title. 

            2. You can do one of the following options:


 

• Bring the application to the Division of Motor Vehicles OR
• Mail the application to the Division of Motor Vehicles

                            Time frame to get the title: 3 to 5 business days
                            Cost to obtain: $25.00

 

 

    Obtaining a duplicate title for a vehicle 15 years of age or older

        The registered owner must follow these steps:

            1. Download and fill out a New Hampshire Bill of Sale.

            2. Download and fill out a Verification of Vehicle Identification OR provide a copy of the previous registration or title.

Getting a duplicate title when the vehicle was last titled outside New Hampshire

The registered owner of the vehicle must apply for a duplicate title through the state in which the vehicle was last titled in.
