What do I need to do with my plates?
The plates stay with the vehicle when you sell/dispose of it unless you have a "personalized" or special plate. In that case, you should have an original plate that you place on your car and transfer your personalized plate to your new vehicle.

Is there anything else I need to do?
You may need to notify the DMV that you sold your vehicle in order to complete the transfer process.
