Duplicate Title Instructions

Getting a duplicate title when the vehicle was last titled in Utah
 
    The registered owner of the vehicle must follow these steps:
 
        1. Download and fill out the Utah Duplicate Title Application. 

        2. You can do one of the following options:

 

• Bring the application to the Division of Motor Vehicles.

                        Time frame to get the title: 2 Weeks
                        Cost to obtain: $6
 

 

 

• Mail the application to the Division of Motor Vehicles.

                        Time frame to get the title: 2 Weeks
                        Cost to obtain: $6 

Getting a duplicate title when the vehicle was last titled outside of Utah
The registered owner of the vehicle must apply for a duplicate title through the state in which the vehicle was last titled in.
