Duplicate Title Instructions

Getting a duplicate title when the vehicle was last titled in Washington
 
    The registered owner of the vehicle must follow these steps:
 
        1. Download and fill out the Washington Duplicate Title Application. 

        2. You can do one of the following options:

 

• Bring the application to the Vehicle Licensing Office.

 
                        Time frame to get the title: 4-6 Weeks
                        Cost to obtain: $9
 

 

 

• Mail the application to the Vehicle Licensing Office.

                        Time frame to get the title: 10 Weeks
                        Cost to obtain: $9

Getting a duplicate title when the vehicle was last titled outside of Washington

    The registered owner of the vehicle must apply for a duplicate title through the state in which the vehicle was last titled in.
